MONROE

OVERVIEW

The tiny home is clad with a steel roof and cedar siding - materials that help the home meld with any wooded landscape. It can accommodate four people with its ground floor bed and king loft. Generous glazing comprises an entire side of the tiny, providing uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape.

Exterior

We chose cedar sidings and metal roofings for the exterior cladding to give the MONROE a simple and elegant look. We used red cedar with a burnt technique the Shou Sugi Ban as trims to give this model a contrast. The angled roof with steel metal panels transitions naturally and ties up the exterior elements together.

Interior

With large windows on each side, the living room of the MONROE is the brightest area we have designed so far. The interior walls are clad in light color birch wood to extend the sense of space. The general appearance is very warm and bright. The spacious lounge area has ample storage space underneath. It is a multifunctional space that can fit two sofas and one queen bed. White kitchen cabinets and wood butcher block countertop give it a very clean and elegant look. The king-size bedroom is located in the loft, it is accessed with a ladder or an optional storage staircase. Its ergonomic space allows occupants to sit comfortably on the bed.
